Microneedling is a minimally invasive, collagen inducing treatment that aids in the rejuvenation of one’s skin. This form of treatment is highly sought after because it activates one’s own body to produce collagen, and ultimately, reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles, lines, and acne scars.

we use a medical device called the dermapen to achieve such a result. The Dermapen is a pen-shaped device with a circular head that comprises of tiny needles that penetrates the skin in a stamping motion (in various frequencies and intensities) all around the contours of the face and neck, as controlled by our medical professional.

These minute needles puncture the skin in a minimally invasive way and upon entering the skin’s layer it activates the skin’s own tissues and collagen producing mechanisms to stream in an array of elastin and collagen fibers to the area of entry. The immediate result is a fuller and tighter appearance in the skin’s surface. Over time, this form of therapy begins to plump the appearance of the face and neck, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, aid in hyper pigmentation (skin discolouration), and diminish acne scars.

BENEFITS OF MICRONEEDLING

– Wrinkles and Unwanted Lines NO MORE

Aging causes our skin to lose its elasticity which results to have those unwanted lines and wrinkles. This also cause sagging and thinning of the skin.  Micro-needling triggers the release of natural elements in the skin that improves elasticity and these are elastin and collagen. Having enough collagen and elastin reduces the formation unwanted line sand wrinkles and will make you achieve that younger and fresher look in no time. This management is much less expensive than laser and light treatments.

– Scar Problems

When we were kids, we can never prevent being clumsy and damage our skin. We are still ignorant in having those beauty regimens. Scars can be formed from fall and may last all our life. Micro-needling has the capacity to reduce those scars from the past. This procedure breaks down old tissue and triggers the production of new elastin and collagen for healthier skin.

– Stretched Marks Scars Reduced

This is one of the problems of women post pregnancy or those people who gained and lose weight. Stretch marks are extremely difficult to treat and very few cosmetic treatments can improve their appearance. Micro-needling has significantly proven to diminish the appearance of stretch marks and its effectiveness is improved with the aid of other stretch mark management.

Microneedling FAQ

During the first session, one of our medical professionals will review the procedure of microneedling with you. Upon signing the consent form, they will apply a numbing cream all over the face and neck, which will allow the microneedling procedure to take place with minimal experience of pain and discomfort. The medical professional will then begin the microneedling procedure, working one side of the face at a time, and adjusting the frequency as necessary. The patient will be actively involved in providing feedback to our medical professional, to ensure maximum comfort and experience.

Due to the application of the numbing cream, pain will not be felt, but some patients do experience a sensation in some of the more sensitive areas of the face, which can be alleviated by adjusting the intensity of the stamping motion of the needles.

Many patients will have sensitive skin immediately post procedure, and it is highly recommended to apply sunscreen before leaving the clinic. The skin may appear red for 24 hours after the procedure with some minor bleeding, tightness, and itchy feeling. However, the needles penetrate only the top layer of the skin, so scarring is seldom experienced, and in rare cases, some scarring may temporarily be present, which fades away in a few days.
